Venus in Aquarius - The Carnival Season

The 66th British Academy Film & Television Arts, the BAFTAS, 10th February, 2013
The BAFTA mask was designed by sculptor Mitizi Cunliffe who is Venus in Aquarius
After her deliberate and cautious trek across the mountainous earthy terrain of Capricorn, from the 3rd February 2013 with a yawn, Venus moved into the light and fluffy clouds of the Air sign Aquarius. All the while she will be alert for new sources of stimulation and enchantment wanting to spend her time socialising and disarming. She will project her open, tolerant, unconventional, friendly image and impress whoever she meets and greets until the 26th of February, 2013 when she gets much more mysterious and emotional in watery Pisces.
Skyfall has 8 BAFTA nominations, its James Bond Actor Daniel Craig is Venus in Aquarius
Venus always loves to indulge, feeding the body, anointing it, making it look, smell and feel really lovely. Venus cannot help herself because that is what she is all about Venus Come Out Of Your Shell. There are other things she loves, such as beauty in all it's forms, an appreciation of the finer things in life like the arts, culture and social bonds.
Fashion Icon Kate Moss has Venus in Aquarius here she is in Hologram form. Venus in the air!
With Venus in Aquarius part of life's great pageant can be a string of such magical occasions. Money and fairness are also part of the Venus makeup which should give us a clue just how fundamental and central Venus is to our lives. There is also the small matter of the heart, l'amour, amore, of course Venus just adores the romance although she can give over a little Aquarian detachment. Yet Love and Money are the two basic ingredients that most people need to blend in order to feel that they have a good handle on life, even an independent, aloof Venus in Aquarius.
2013 BAFTA Fellowship award winner Director Alan Parker is Venus in Aquarius
Venus has been rather solemn and serious recently. She has been using a restrained and mature mindset to get what she wants whilst deliberating in Capricorn. For the past month we have got used to this way of being, making sure that we attend to our long range goals and keeping our eyes on the task at hand whilst still trying to be helpful to those we love. Now we have Venus in Aquarius running the show and her word of advice, as social secretary, is to lean towards the quirky and the weird and wonderful. Embrace the odd, the misfit and the under represented.
2013 nominated Golden Globes Actress Glen Close is Venus in Aquarius
'It always amazes me to think that every house on every street is full of so many stories, so many triumphs and tragedies and all we see are yards and drive ways'
If you want to attract, look like you want to join in and be one of the gang but also be prepared to be different because Aquarius simply loves the bizarre. It is impressed by concepts and ideals and loves a grand vision but most importantly it wants fairness. For Venus in Aquarius being true to your inner light and holding on tightly to what you believe is the right thing is paramount. No matter if you alienate or aggravate those who disagree just as long as you have a few close friends of like-minded people and you are being true to yourself then its all cool. Oh and also be prepared to join in the party, have a party, fancy dress, don a mask and ride along with the carnival.
Rio de Janeiro Carnival Parade 9th/12th February, 2013
Aquarius wants us to apply our attention to our principles and to what we believe. With Venus the goddess of Love here for a while she will urge us to sample the delights of universal vision, of giving our attention to the many and of following our inner star, no matter how distant or faint. She will want us to wake up to what both separates and adheres us as human beings living together on the same planet. She will want to explore the new and fantastic 'out there' possibilities that may literally be ‘out there’. We have new worlds both inner and outer to explore or put under the microscope, view through a telescope and observe with fascination. Stop all that past Capricorn earnest devotion to ‘the real’ the real point is lets have fun with exploring the unknown.
Venice Carnevale February 2013
'The subversive nature of the festival is reflected in the many laws created over the centuries attempting to restrict celebrations and often banning the wearing of masks.' Street performers, acrobats, masquerades and amazing costumes, acrobats have continued to subvert since the 13th century.
We will all have a month where our relationships may get a bit more 'off the wall' but happily, pleasantly, tolerant. It will become that much more important to relate with an openness and an acceptance of difference. To allow the ‘odd’ to live with the ‘normal’, to include and respect all manifestations of life no matter how weird or out of the ordinary they may initially appear, anyway lets be extra-ordinary.
BAFTA for Amour Filmmaker/Screenwriter Michael Haneke is Venus in Aquarius
Before we get too carried away with the openness and acceptance it may also be the case that we can also get much more awkward, opinionated, and willful with Aquarius, it is a fixed sign after all. It could be that we get so convinced we miss the mark altogether and bypass what was or is really important or intrinsic to the situation. Or we can get so caught up in idealisations and abstractions that the realities may get overlooked.

Key to understanding what is going on for us now is to look at where in ourselves we are ‘Aquarius-attuned’. We all have degrees in our birth chart which look out for any passing Aquarius vibration. Look for your own personal Aquarius antenna. It will be good to look at how smoothly the matters connected to your Aquarius house and planets run at this time and if they are functioning as well as they could be or is there a need for a bit of improvement.

Performer Elton John is Venus in Aquarius
He apparently upset Chinese authorities  by dedicating a performance to outspoken Chinese artist/activist
Ai Weiwei. An English language edition of a state run newspaper said the singer was 'disrespectful' when he 'forcibly added political content to the concert.. and that If they had known that this concert would be dedicated to Ai Weiwei many in the audience would not have come' Chinese culture minister, Cai Wu has demanded that only stars with university degrees be allowed to play in China in future.
If your own Venus is in Aquarius this is a lovely time to welcome in the new arrivals in the shape of people or coins because this is your ‘Wow factor’ time.
If you have Aquarius spanning the 5th house zone of Romance & Creativity, you may find your ‘fun time’ gets a perk and what you do for the sheer love of it deepens and may go on to another level.
As for a Sun sign Aquarius, well hey this individual, unusual stuff is easy but to a point because even a ‘lets all do our own thing’ Aquarian needs some fluffy-cuddly, caring, sharing time. Your hearts desire for there to be room for each and everyone in this world does get an extra boost this month. There just may be such a place for you and this is just the time to find it, go on have a look.
2013 BAFTA nominated for Argo Actor Alan Arkin is Venus in Aquarius
Carnival time is when we can merge with the crowd while still wearing a mask or costume to perhaps to protect a full, true exposure of the self sometimes. During this Venus in Aquarius month we all may feel that much safer hiding in a crowd or we may feel that much stronger being part of one. Whatever we choose to do we will want everyone to feel supported in their independence. We all want to feel special within the mass, we are part of the collective but unique in our true expression.
2013 writing stage musical for King Kong, Elbow songwriter Guy Garvey is Venus in Aquarius
The Carnival was well and truly over for the passengers of cruise ship Carnival Triumph.
The stricken cruise ship Carnival Triumph towed into Mobil, Alabama on the 15th February 2013 with 4,200 relieved passengers on board. The Carnival Triumph drama was played out live on cable news stations in the US. Over the last four days passengers have been describing conditions after a dangerous fire with drainpipes overflowing, sewage in cabins and corridors and passengers sleeping on deck. This new drama has created another public relations nightmare for the cruise giant Carnival Corp. Last year the Costa Concordia was grounded and later capsized off the coast of Italy killing 32 people.

New Moon in Aquarius - Moon Wobble & The Black Water Snake

Chinese Year of the Black Snake 10th February 2013 Gong Xi Fa Ca!
Self-reliant Snakes are complex. They have charisma and confidence and can appear to shed adversity like growing another skin because they endure and recover well. They are bon viveurs and have good taste.
On the 10th February, 2013 we celebrate the start of the Chinese New Year of the Black Water Snake and also notice that the Moon moves out of it’s dark Balsamic phase and starts afresh. It is time to renew, re-invigorate, ‘have another go’, pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and charge up the motor. In the week or so before we may have been just going with the flow, allowing things to drift along and perhaps letting go of what needed to be released. We could have waved ‘goodbye’ and said hello to what we thought was lost but now found or even renewed. There would have been a general sense of resting, waiting but an increased awareness, a quiet sensing of the direction the breeze may blow and a feeling that there is something brewing, hidden, just out of sight.
In fact something has been growing, building and gestating. We may not know exactly what it is because the time for revelation is a few weeks away yet, when the light becomes brighter with the Full Moon. Right now we are prompted and primed to prepare for a change. This is just the start of this moon dance.

Boxing's 'The Greatest' Muhammed Ali is Moon in Aquarius/Chinese Snake
The signal that something is changing reveals itself as a shimmer, the merest glimmer of moonlight, magical but barely discernable. This glimmer of a shift in our awareness is the seeding of change that occurs with the monthly New Moon. It is an initiating time when we can pick up and tune into the haunting and subtle whispers of change promised by La Luna’s rhythms. We are much more sensitive now to the tiny filaments of alteration, the gossamer thin shifts in direction and the momentary re-adjustments of momentum. It is all there to be sensed and is as slim and subtle as the New Moons light beaming down to the earth. This month the New Moon seeds at 21 degrees of Aquarius. Aquarius the Human Water Bearer, Aquarius the Humanitarian, Aquarius the Air sign of potential genius. This is the flavour of the energy being stirred into wakefulness.

Transylvanian Composer/Pianist Bela Bartok is Moon in Aquarius/Chinese Snake
The Aquarian qualities of being fair minded, the wilful pursuit of change and betterment for everyone and a broadening of our wave bands of interests and a widening of our circles of friendships, groups and acquaintances. An outright oddness may emerge as we throw our intentions behind effecting these changes. We may feel that we must now address issues that have an effect on everyone not just ourselves or our own clans. We must widen our range and go on ever further forward. We must try to experiment and explore and try to detach from the small minded and set our telescopes to focus into the far reaches of space. We must set something in motion now that may yet provide us with more of sense of who we really are outside of the confines that define us and may not really be ours but belong to ghosts, ancestral memory or present time authorities or authority figures.
Founder of House of Gucci, Florence Guccio Gucci is Moon in Aquarius/Chinese Snake
(Gucci Atelier, Florence 1953)
We may feel more authentic and free someway further down the road. We might not see the finished results now but that lighthouse that contains the architect’s plans may well show itself later on in our journey when we can see its full beaming light, as it comes into the spotlight during the Full Moon time in a few weeks.

This month Lady Moon is again holding hands with the Sun Lord in Aquarius. This brand New Moon also sets off with a Moon Wobble, a term first used by astrologer Carl Payne Tobey. It involves the Sun in a dance with the Moon's Nodes by square or conjunction and right now the lunar nodal axis is Scorpio/Taurus
Axis of Power & Possessions - Scorpio/Taurus. The Moon Wobble can essentially be a time when things can get a bit odd and with Aquarius, a sign already famed for weirdness it may prove quite a combination. Aquarius just loves to wake up the neighbours, it has a taste for the shocking and throwing in the odd spanner or ten into the works and relishes and revels in the unusual. Aquarius season is already in full swing but things may now take some further twists and rather strange turns and perhaps there is no way to make ourselves ready to greet the unexpected except by trying to avoid unnecessary drama.
Romanian Opera Prima donna 'Draculette' Angela Gheorghiu is Moon in Aquarius/Chinese Snake
'sings with the power of a hurricane...I'm waiting for a modern opera..I can put on all the blue jeans in the world. I can be sexy, I can be everything. But give me a reason.'
This is also a time when our emotions can be whipped up along the path ahead and we may feel as if we are treading on shards of glass rather than tufts of grass as we make our way forward. Our impatience and recklessness could peak and erupt in outbursts or behaviours that prove to be even more ill advised and that we will no doubt regret. We may feel like we are just churning up the lawn, gouging out the tufts and thumping out great divits in the dirt in our desire to instigate change. We may be blinded and overtaken by a sense of justice and fairness which seems right at the time but which from an objective viewpoint becomes neither just nor fair for a great many other people. Best advice is to keep cool, calm and collected, and try to detach yourself from the swirling emotions. Give yourself time to think, some air space, because a solution will come to you if you allow it time and an entry point. Whether it is yours or other peoples, let the head of steam cool down and evaporate.
The fixed star Deneb Algedi at 23 degrees Aquarius, is a binary star, together with Nashira, the Two Bending Stars lie in the split tail of the celestial Seagoat, in Capricornus like the tongue of the Black Snake they represent both good and bad fortune. The current contact with the Aquarian Sun and the Moon on a wobble highlights the need to use moral codes and ethics but not as weapons, at the expense of others and certainly don't 'bend' them in order to make good our own positions.
Ex French Prime Minister Dominique le Villepin is Moon in Aquarius/Snake
Came under the international spotlight with a passionate speech to the United Nations against the Iraq War, acquitted in the Clearstream smear campaign against Sarkozy plus R&C (Relais & Chateaux) fraud scandal.
New Moons ignite, they start stuff off, they sow the seeds and often in unseen and invisible ways. The light from the Moon is still just new, just a sliver and it is hiding more than it is showing. New Moons are those times when there are often sparks of novelty and bursts of freshness. We want to start again and begin new projects and undertakings. Our hope and optimism surges, we feel a ‘well why not’ attitude welling up inside us and begin to notice it in other people. The few days around the New Moon are excellent for trying out new things. Whether it is experimenting with new styles trying out new tastes or generating ideas this is a time for experimentation and play. Activating in the air sign of Aquarius, much of this testing out could take place with regard to social, cultural or group matters. We can use the energy in our favour by taking steps to re-build, re-design or strip back something back to its bare necessities and start afresh. Honour the Aquarian spirit by being a bit experimental, a bit ‘out-there’ and boost your vitality levels by expressing your inner weirdness. Aquarius is group orientated in that fact that it wants to give everyone, regardless of class, creed, race or sexuality a fair and level playing-field chance to be themselves. A birth-right to be free to live life in ways which honour not only our own inner being but also being mindful of bringing others needs to be who they are into the mix.
Existential Philosopher/Writer Jean Paul Sartre is Moon in Aquarius/Chinese Snake
'As far as men go, it's not what they are that interest me but what they can become'
Over the next few days of this New Moon time we have an opportunity to use this Aquarian energy to shake things up, come at life from a different angle and ignite our own spark of genius. Bring to mind some of your future projects, plans and schemes and perhaps think about them from another angle, its in your hands, you have the skill to direct any stream of knowledge into any dry desert waiting for irrigation. Plant the seed in a garden which allows for bio-diversity and where a weed can be be hailed as a wonderful flower. Don’t expect everyone to gather round and join in with you all of the time, they will have their own stuff to get on with now. The chance for gathering will come later, in a few weeks time, at the Full Moon. Keep a cool head, look to the future and dare to re-design your own life no matter how strange things get for a while.

Mercury in Aquarius - Postcards from a Fantastic Mind

Diagram of The Prophet's Mosque in Medina. One of the thousands of ancient documents in Timbuktu.
On the 19th January 2013 Mercury moves from the mountainous terrain of Earthy Capricorn into the Air space of Aquarius, where it is exalted. We are all on the exciting flight path of the water carrier as it makes its fly pasts, takes it circuitous routes and leads it's trains and caravans from here to Timbuktu. In the middle of the desert, Timbuktu, a settlement on the caravan routes since the 12th century has always been associated with the concept of somewhere so far away the distance is incomprehensible but we can imagine all sorts of adventures getting there and all mystical, exotic and fantastic. Tuareg folklore suggests the name came from one of their slave women called, Timbuktu who was so trustworthy the Tuareg could leave their precious belongings in her care.
Astronomy manuscripts, Timbuktu
Sadly, the historic town and World Heritage Site, has been in the grip of radical Islamists who have been destroying monuments and mausoleums and now nothing appears to be in safe hands. The UN Security Council gave its backing for an African-led military operation to help Mali's government retake the north of the country if no peaceful solution could be found.
Interim Mali President Dioncounda Traore has Mercury in Aquarius
He has already survived a mob lynching last year when his 'guards' allowed a murderous mob into his office in Bamako carrying a mock coffin with his name written on it, He was beaten punched and kicked then stripped naked, with members of the crowd carrying away pieces of his clothing some shouted triumphantly that he was dead and he could well have been as he wears a pacemaker and had to be treated and recouped in France for over two months - video posted by Jeune Afrique He has been talking tough by pledging to 'wage a total and relentless war' on the Tuareg rebellion in northern Mali who have declared a state of Azawad but he is still searching for peace on shaky, volatile ground.

As Mercury moved into Aquarius, negotiations were taking place (a Mercury skill) between the Algerian government and a terrorist Islamist group who had taken over a BP oil refinery in the settlement of In Amenas, in the Sahara desert. This group operated under the banner of the Signed-in Blood Battalion led by Algerian, Mokhtar Belmokhtar, known by his slang nom de guerre 'Belaouer', one-eye 'and the Belaouer' has eyes everywhere'. His al Qaeda in the Islamic Magreb (AQIM)  group who have been consistently kidnapping westerners since 2003 are affiliated with a terrorist organisation, Ansar Dine, already active in Mali, west Africa. Those responsible for the group in In Amenas reportedly confirmed their action of taking foreign hostages was in response to France's recent military intervention and prescence in Mali.
President of Algeria Abdelaziz Bouteflika has Mercury in Aquarius.
Of Berber descent, he has also survived an assassination attempt.
This month Mercury may have to act as a courier of aid, supplies and reinforcements as well as a messenger. Mercury in Aquarius will also 'bring it on' and carry or trade views in complex arguments, objective scientific thinking and some effective, cool rational thinking. Conversely and often, perversely, Aquarius can also herald some willful, stubborn, entrenched, bizarre or even autocratic communications and activities.

The roads in this land may sometimes seem quirky and unconventional and some may even take a sudden unpredictable turn but this can also make the exploration all the more necessary. This is a time that can generate more and more questions and most definitely will take us along the roads less travelled. It may take us to lawless, rebellious, unrestrained, ungovernable outlawed and vast spaces, exiled or at the outer reaches. We may find that it is from these marginalized unfamiliar lands that people are taking centre stage and doing the talking, trading and exchanging. This is their air space we in after all for these few weeks, and it is their language to which we must translate and the roads we must navigate.

.
Actor Ray Bolger has Mercury in Aquarius famous forever as the Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz
who followed the Yellow Brick Road to the Emerald City in order to get a brain
Whenever Mercury changes sign, we need to learn a whole new language and adapt to completely different customs to the ones we have become used to and seem familiar. Mercury effects the way we process and deal with information, how we talk and chat, or tweet, blog, text, write, read, listen and learn and Aquarius is highly inventive, uniquely convinced, scientific and objective with the facts as well as being highly futuristic.
The Father of Science Fiction Writer Jules Verne has Mercury in Aquarius
 he wrote the classic,
Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, Journey to the Centre of the Earth
& Around the World in 80 days
'
Reality provides us with facts so romantic that imagination itself could add nothing to them...
the world does not need new continents but new men.'
Combine, blend and mix up a potion or two and sometimes create science-fiction in fact.

When Mercury passes through such an offbeat and 'going its own way regardless' sign such as Aquarius, things can get interesting and quite challenging. There is strangeness here, a curious blending of ancient and sci-fi futuristic thinking sometimes occupying the same time and space. Rather like mixing the Medieval with Star Trek the result will always be surprising and sometimes fantastic.

Actor Christopher Ecclestone has Mercury in Aquarius plus Sun, Saturn and Mars
'I left Doctor Who because I could not get along with the senior people. I left because of politics. I did not see eye-to-eye with them. I didn’t agree with the way things were being run. I didn’t like the culture that had grown up around the series. So I left, I felt, over a principle...think it's more important to be your own man than be successful, so I left. But the most important thing is that I did it, not that I left. I really feel that, because it kind of broke the mould and it helped to reinvent it'

Mercury is about travel, trade, exchange, communications and busy activity and here in ‘odd-one-out’ Aquarius it can all get a bit – well, weird. We see the way ahead, the path in our minds eye is clear, we must and will press on along it route, except that other people might just not see it the same way. In fact they could view it in ways that may even be the polar opposite. In fact, if the majority ‘find against you’ then you will automatically find yourself in the minority. This does not deter you probably quite the opposite in fact, it may just serve to propel you further down your unique pathway.

Child Protege Composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart has Mercury in Aquarius
A study conducted at University of California called 'The Mozart Effect'  linked classical music to memory  improvement.
College students listen to 10 minutes of either a Mozart's sonata for two pianos in D major, a relaxation tape, or just silence. Immediately afterward the students took a spatial reasoning test (taken from the Stanford-Binet intelligence scale). Those who listened to the Mozart tape showed improved scores, compared to the other students. This turned out to be a popular phenomenon, even though the effects were temporary, and lasted 10-15 minutes.(Andrea Maria Dusl image)
It is possible that while Mercury was in a lot more traditional and cautious Capricorn, many of us noticed we had to switch our mental tuning in order to getting to grips with practicalities, the nitty gritty and face a hard reality check. (Mercury in Capricorn - Postcards from a Profound Mind). We may have had to rethink previous wild, ambitious and wide ranging plans, schemes or visions and tailor them to the hair-shirt of reality. (Mercury in Sagittarius - Postcards from an Optimistic Mind). With Capricorn we had to learn things by learning the hard way, accepting what others could teach us, listening to authorities or those who ‘knew better’. Journeys and communications could have been largely for business or purely practical reasons, some may have been burdensome or taken out of a sense of duty or responsibility, willingly taken but under some obligation all the same. However, just as we have got halfway used to this style of speaking and thinking we will suddenly find ourselves in what appears to be another foreign country where everyone appears to ask us to speak more conceptually. Here we can explore new regions and use abstractions to go where no one has dared go before. Think outside the box, travel the path less travelled ‘go where no-one has gone before’.
French Film Director Francoise Truffaut has Mercury in Aquarius
a leading exponent of 'La Nouvelle Vague' (New Wave) radical experiments using social & political themes

'I've always had the impression that real militants are like cleaning women, doing a thankless, daily but necessary job'
When zig-zagging its way through Aquarius, Mercury will want us to employ our hearts and minds in order to get to somewhere different. We will be encouraged to shake up existing paradigms and also to be true to ourselves, even if at times it means being isolated, marginalised or ridiculed.

Theoretical Physicist Michio Kaku has Mercury in Aquarius ' a futurist and communicator of popular science'
We will know our own minds and also tend to stick to our guns. Being adaptable is also easy for Mercury, it will adjust to this new terrain, we will all have to adjust and find interest in the new angles. With Mercury in Aquarius new pathways will inevitably be found, the unusual or rare will come to light and we may well learn from both ancient and modern texts while we are at it.You will notice the difference here soon enough as you understand the difference between earth and sky.
French Philosopher Simone Weil Mercury and Sun in Aquarius
A precocious student, she learnt ancient Greek by 12 and later, Sanskrit  after reading the Bhagavad Gita.
Her mentor called 'The Red Virgin' and 'The Martian' because of her radical opinions but she also suggested the elite communist bureaucrats could be just as oppressive as the worst capitalist.
She was very compassionate to the suffering of others and was involved in both the Spanish Civil War and the French Resistance.
'when we come upon beautiful things they lift us...letting the ground rotate beneath us several inches so that when we land we find we are standing in a different relation to the world than we were a moment before'
We are all feeling Mercury’s shift towards what may seem something more eccentric, much more self willed and maverick. We may yet find a way for us all to express our inner genius in ways that respect social and cultural imperatives. In a world of oddballs, we all are oddballs together we are the same and so we must still ultimately find ways to live together and share the space we inhabit.
Writer Virginia Woolf has Mercury in Aquarius
Part of the Dreadnaught Hoax of 1910 that drew attention to the newly formed  Bloomsbury Group .
The group dressed as dignitaries from Abyssinia and gained access to the British battleship Dreadnaught.
'For most of history, Anonymous was a woman'
If we all believe we know the truth, the best way forward for everyone that is just tyrannical and some people are going to rebel, welcome to Aquarius. During Mercury’s time in Aquarius all of us on this precious planet of ours will be mentally processing with more conviction, vision, and brilliance and lets just mention, we will also have to be alert to a bit more of an obstinate and perverse tendency.
Artist Norman Rockwell has Mercury in Aquarius
His work, dismissed by critics as being twee, sickly sweet, kitsch, sentimentalised versions of American life.
His brilliant technique gained power after he left the constraints of The Saturday Evening Post and resulted in The Problem We All Live With  a real event in the US Civil Rights Movement.
Painted in 1964 it was displayed in The White House in 2011 and shows US marshals escorting a 6 year old Ruby Bridges to an all-white elementary school for the first time.
Mercury in Aquarius takes us along the higgledy-piggeldy path of the ‘unknown and uncertain’. It presses us to processes in ways which are inventive and more experimental.
Great so everyone will be a little more inventive and scientifically business minded. We will be happy to discuss outrageous ideas, unique agendas, cutting-edge business ideas and developments. Wow! Just remember with this Mercury our communications are also about to get more weird for good or bad.
Poet/Writer Founder of Surrealism Andre Breton has Mercury in Aquarius
'It is living and ceasing to live that are imaginary solutions. Existence is everywhere...
beauty will be convulsive or will not be at all'
Well, the sign of Aquarius sits somewhere in your birth chart, even if you do not have any planets in this sign. You always have inventive Aquarian somewhere in your psyche. It is this Aquarius zone which is having Mercury as a house guest. If you know where your ‘Aquarius' is then your full attention will be here because it is here that you may be trying to exercise new and illuminating ideas. Take your time and respect the issues affected by this part of your chart. For instance, Aquarius may be in your 2nd house of ‘Money & Resources’, in which case Mercury will probably prompt you to think about and plan changes that will impact your bank balance. If Aquarius covers your 7th house, or zone, of ‘Partnerships’ your plans could be in for a major overhaul concerning your significant other, making these adjustments now will go smoothly. Maybe Aquarius is pulling at your Venus and if so these few weeks will get you thinking about deepening or severing your commitment to something you have previously valued.
Philosopher Sir Francis Bacon has Mercury in Aquarius
An early proto-science fiction contributor he wrote 'New Atlantis a vision of Utopia. He was also said to be the 'secret Shakespeare's' unable to hold high office if he openly wrote the works.

'It’s not what we eat but what we digest that makes us strong; not what we gain but what we save that makes us rich; not what we read but what we remember that makes us learned; and not what we profess but what we practice that gives us integrity.
Make the most of your facility to think outside the box and come up with new original solutions and ideas. Say what you need to say with courage and use your integrity. Don’t be afraid to go against the grain but also hark back to old wisdoms that proved valuable and that have worked before in other contexts. If we try to mix and blend our ways with the ways of others we may all find the new, unique pathways to travel down.

Jazz Guitarist Django Reinhardt has Mercury in Aquarius he was a pioneer, virtuoso musician developing a new guitar technique
'hot jazz'. He was born into a Romany family and badly burnt in a caravan leaving him only two fingers to use on the guitar fretboard.
