Mars in Cancer - Come Out And Defend To The End

Artist/Sculptor Maggie Hambling has Mars in Cancer
'I asked for the complete works of Oscar Wilde for my twelfth birthday. My parents found it a little strange but I'd trained them by then. Dorian Gray was the first novel I ever read. It opened up life
Her statue of Oscar Wilde, near the Strand in London is regularly defaced as is her giant Scallop Shell,
4 metres high, commemorating composer Benjamin Britten, a gift to his home town in Aldeburgh, Suffolk. It provoked so much initial outrage and it has had to be scoured clean of graffiti 13 times since it was installed in 2003 with ongoing petitions to have it removed. 'I hear those voices that will not be drowned'
On the 13th July 2013 until the 28th August 2013 the warrior planet Mars on his campaign through the 12 signs swooshed itself and washed up in the waters of Cancer the Crab. While Mars was here it tirelessly explored the emotional space, tenaciously scouring through the inner realm and maybe ending in a burst of tears or screaming in terror. Or maybe it threw down the visor covering its eyes and speared the approaching dark forces gathering from unseen dimensions.
Actor Wentworth Miller has Mars in Cancer
Came out in August 2013, posting a letter on GLAAD website turning down the Saint Petersburg International Film Festival 'deeply troubled' by the Russian government banning 'propaganda of nontraditional sexual relations'. 'Thank you for your kind invitation. As someone who has enjoyed visiting Russia in the past and can also claim a degree of Russian ancestry, it would make me happy to say yes. However, as a gay man, I must decline. I am deeply troubled by the current attitude toward and treatment of gay men and women by the Russian government. The situation is in no way acceptable, and I cannot in good conscience participate in a celebratory occasion hosted by a country where people like myself are being systematically denied their basic right to live and love openly'.
Mars, during its stay in Cancer, would have been instinctively drawn to dip into what scares it most, it just can't resist, mesermised by what it fears it bravely goes with the tug of the tide, taking it far out to sea. For us during this time and for those born with this combination living with the contraction of fear and bravery will be an issue. Depending on many other complex issues, we will veer towards the timid or the tough, the choice, although it may not much feel like it, would have been very much ours to take.
British Footballer Justin Fashanu has Mars in Cancer
In 1981 he became the first black player in UK soccer to get a £1 million transfer fee. In 1990 he 'came out' as the first 'out' gay player in football. In 1998 he hung himself in a Shoreditch garage in London after being accused of a sexual assault in the US.
Mars love a good fight and is ambitious to get to its desired target. During its stay in Cancer the target is H-O-M-E. Mars the ‘Action Man’ planet will try its best to protect and defend its nest and all who reside within its walls and boundaries. Family, land and home are a BIG DEAL and a cause we will defend to the end and whilst Mars was in Cancer with a little help from Jupiter. Jupiter in Cancer - Nest Eggs & Freedom From Family Patterns
Green Party MP Brighton Pavilion Caroline Lucas has Mars in Cancer
'In my constituency people remember all too well Thatcher's opposition to gay rights'
Section 28 was introduced in the UK during the AIDS epidemic in 1988 and it effectively banned the promotion of homosexuality in schools. It was removed from the statute book by the Labour government and the current UK Conservative Prime Minister, David Cameron has apologised for the policy. Brighton also hosts Brighton Gay Pride, which was free to everyone but controversially began charging in 2011.
Lucas is the first ever Green Party MP in the UK. She was also an activist at Greenham Common Peace Camp, Molesworth Peace Camp and CND and on the 19 August 2013 was arrested with her son at a protest against Caudrilla Resources fracking in Sussex.

(with Phelim MacCafferty Green Party Councillor Phelimmac)
Check out the Cancer zone in your own chart. This area will have had Mars in the protective, highly sensitive crab sidling sideways through it. This is where we will have been urged to act protectively, defensively and tenaciously.
Angela Eagle MP has Mars in Cancer
Part of Stonewalls anti-bullying campaign in UK schools her twin sister is not gay.
Defending, if used well, is healthy and often much needed. When Mars is in Cancer we defend if we feel attacked more times than not and if we also have an instinct for it, even half expect it we are going to remain defended and hidden amongst the rocks on the seashore.
Composer Benjamin Britten has Mars in Cancer
His muse and professional, personal partner was tenor Peter Pears. He gained a reputation for 'dumping' friends that offended him who a critic called 'corpses' and appeared to be highly sensitive to criticism from others but also was critical of his own work. In reality he maintained many close friends throughout his life.
If Mars passed through your 6th house zone then you could have employed your skills to further your employment, the working rights of others or getting your health in tip-top condition.
US Soccer Player Megan Rapinoe has Mars in Cancer
In the US Olympic Gold Medal Women Soccer Team she played a midfield position, the game maker, scoring
a Gol Olimpico a rare corner kick that goes untouched into the net, making her the first player to score one and earning her a place in the celebrated French team Olympique Lyonnais. She also made an announcement as a prominent athlete to come out just before the Olympics 2012, publicly and to her parents,
her twin sister is also gay. She is in a long term relationship with Australian soccer player Sarah Walsh.
We can all use the power of Mars to motor us through to our goal to ignite our passions and fuel our issues and drive us ever onwards, but we would be wise to choose our targets of opposition, try not to side step issues and defend our rights.
Singer/Songwriter Frank Ocean has Mars in Cancer The first major hip hop R&B African/American artist to come out into a music scene rife with homophobia. He confessed unrequited feelings for another man when he was 19 'I don't know what happens now, and that's alrite. I don't have any secrets I need kept anymore.
I feel like a free man.'
